Best of the Hospital Pics

I'd like to share these photos taken while Eli and I were still in the hospital.  It's a special time that I'll never forget.

That's My Mom

Two Weeks Old

Eli is now 19 days old and is already beginning to change.  At his 2-week appointment, the doctor said that he'd gained all of his birth weight back. Also, that morning, he lost his umbilical cord, which meant he could officially take a real bath rather than a sponge bath.  How fun!  Then that afternoon, I noticed that he began to track objects with his eyes.  So much can happen in one day when you are just two weeks old!

The girls are loving him - a couple of little mommas they are.  They kiss and hold him as much as we let them.

Don has been home to give me much needed help since Eli came.  I will sure miss him when he goes back to work next week.  We have thoroughly enjoyed this time of joy and trials as we learn what it's like to become a family of five.

Welcoming Baby

His father and I welcomed Eli Victor into this world on April 5, 2012 at 3:23 a.m.
He was 7 lbs. 1 oz., 19 in. long and the most perfect baby we'd ever seen.
Here's wishing him a happy and a healthy long life!
