Mother's Day
Eli's first Mother's Day was spent at a backyard BBQ. We not only enjoyed time with our new little family, but time with friends who are a most important part of our world. Friends are the family that you choose for yourself - and in that arena, we are so blessed.

Six Weeks Go By Fast
Yesterday, Eli was 6 weeks old. What a great time this has been. We have lots of fun taking pictures of him and the girls love to hold him as much as possible.
A few days ago, I put him in the middle of his crib for a nap and came back to find his head pushed against one side...so we are now officially 'scooting' on our belly. We are also lifting our head up for short periods while on our tummy and haved smiled at Mommy making silly faces multiple times in three separate instances. He doesn't like the swing too well and the pacifier work in limited circumstances.
He can't sleep on his back...hasn't been able to from the git-go, so we lay him on his side or on his tummy. He sleeps next to me...night time is my favorite part of the, er....day. He is so cuddly and warm and snuggles up to me so cute. During the night, when he's hungry, he makes the little "I'm hungry" grunts without actually fussing or crying. I "belly him up to the bar" and fall back to sleep while his finishes and falls, well, off the "bar" and snuggles back in to sleep....against the, er, "bar." Ahh....to be a baby again. Here are some pictures taken yesterday on his 6-week birthday.
